Why you should use Google search tips and Open and Closed Questions

You should use both open and closed question when talking to someone are asking something. First of all you should use a closed question if you just want a quick rundown of the answer. Although on the other hand, You should use an open question for a more long well thought out answer. This question will give you more information then the closed question. This doesn’t mean you should only use one or the other, either one can be useful for the situation you are in. So closed are for quick small info answer, and open are for long more info answer.

You may ask, ‘ why should I use search tips?’ well that's a good question. You should use search tip for many reasons. One reason is, if you need to limit your time searching for an answer they can help you to limit down you results to a specific detail. For example using these, “.....” (quotation marks) around the question you are searching it narrow you answer results down to a smaller number. Also the shorter the question the more accurate the results will be. To find a definition of a word don’t waste precious time on looking through the search results trying to find the definition. Instead just do , Define:(your word) this will bring you straight to the definition.

  1. This blog post had a great visual slideshow. The long writing used to define each search tip and the reasons to use open and closed questions is useful as well. This, overall, is a very good blog post and it is very useful.
